Itinerary

Day 1Departure from Ahmedabad

The journey begins from Ahmedabad, all the participants need to reach the Ahmedabad railway station. This will be an overnight journey comprising a total of 27 hours journey by train. You can explore the views and find new mates during the travel.

Alternate Route (Via Jodhpur):

The departure of the alternate route will be prior to the date shown on the website, i.e. if Oct 30 is shown, the departure will be on Oct 29 night. 

Train Details (Sabarmati Junction to Bhagat ki Kothi): SBIB BGKT SPL (04804)

Reporting Time: 09:00 PM

Train Details (Jodhpur Junction to Haridwar): RKSH FESTVL SPL (04888)

Departure Time: 11:00 AM 

Participants will get around 4 hours of free time at Jodhpur for shopping and fresh&up.

Note: Internal travelling & Accommodation in Jodhpur is not included in the package. Participants need to manage travelling from Bhagat ki Kothi Station to Jodhpur Station (6KM) on their own, Instructor/Guide will help in local travel arrangements.

Day 2Arrival at Haridwar, Free Day for Local Sight-Seeing

After reaching Haridwar railway station, will proceed towards hotel. After refreshment, participants can go for sightseeing to different places in Haridwar. Ganga Aarti, Temples, Cafe’s, Markets are the key attractions among them. 

After dinner, the participants to go back to their room to start the long journey towards Barkot, the next day.

Day 3Drive from Haridwar to Barkot via Mussoorie ( 180 km)

After breakfast proceed to Barkot, via Dehradun & Mussoorie.En-route visit kempty waterfall and enjoy the beauty of Himalayas,later drive straight to barkot.

Check in to the hotel,Overnight stay at hotel

 

Day 4Barkot - Jankichatti - Yamunotri- Barkot (6km Trek/2hrs foot)

After breakfast proceed to Yamunotri here can cook rice in garam Panikund. Tourist take this cooked rice to home as “Prasad”. “Pooja” can be offered to Divyashila,after taking bath in Jamunabai kund’s(Hot Water Kund) and having “Darsan” of pious”Yamunaji” then return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5Drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi (145 km)

After breakfast check out from hotel ,then drive to Uttarkashi. 

Arrived at Uttarkashi, check in to the hotel, Overnight stay at hotel

Day 6Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (drive 100km one side)

After breakfast proceed to Gangotri, En-route ennjoy the drive parallel to Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. On arrival Gangotri have a holy dip in river Bhagirathi(icy cold water).

Perform Pooja and Hindu rites at the bank of river. Then proceed to Darsan of Mata Ganga, Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Vinayka and Bhagirath Maharaj, have blessing and return back to Uttarkashi .

Day 7Drive from Uttarkashi to Sitapur (300 km)

After breakfast check out from the hotel, and then drive to Sitapur, on arrival check into hotel,

Day 8Trek towards Kedarnath

After Breakfast, the camp will begin the journey for Gaurikund – the starting point of Trek from Sonprayag. This will be a short journey through local transportation.

The participants will begin the trek from Gaurikund. There are many ways if you are not comfortable with walking for the trek (can take help of khacchar in between the journey). The trek will be of 17-19 km. You can take a view of the Himalayan views, mini waterfalls, the imprints and remains of the Kedarnath flood tragedy. In the evening will reach Kedarnath Temple and can participate in the Aarti. The night stay will be at a hotel near Kedarnath Temple.

 

Day 9Temple Visit and trek down to Sonprayag

In morning, all the participants can visit the Kedarnath Temple, and can explore the views of the Himalayas, BhimShila, Mandakini river. also do not forget to click memories for life with your mates. After visiting the temple, we will trek back towards Gaurikund, and return back to Sonprayag. Night stay and Dinner will be at Sonprayag.

Day 10Drive from Sitapur to Badrinath ji

In the morning, after breakfast drive to the holy shrine of Shri Badrinath Ji. In the evening you can visit the shrine for Arti Darshan. Overnight stay at the Badrinath

Day 11Badrinathji Darsan & Mana Village and travel back to Ppipalkoti

In Morning,All the Participate can visit Badrinath Temple and Mana Village(Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet) This will be a travel back towards Pipalkoti from Badrinath. Once you reach Pipalkoti, you will move towards the hotel.

Day 12Drive from Pipalkoti to Haridwar via Dharidevi Temple, Panch Prayag & Rishikesh

After breakfast drive to Haridwar, in between you can visit panch prayag of uttarakhand and dhari devi temple 

check in the hotel 

 

Day 13Departure from Haridwar

After finishing their breakfast in the morning, participants can enjoy for free half-day in Haridwar till the Afternoon and need to report directly at the railway station.

What are the important guidelines for Kedarnath Visit?

All the pilgrims visiting Uttarakhand have to register themselves only on the portal http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in and follow the Uttarakhand State Covid-19 SOP.

How long does it take from Gaurikund to Kedarnath?

In general, it takes about 7-8 hours normally to trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. The Kedarnath trekking trail initially consists of 7 kilometers and demands less time, but it becomes a bit steep for the final 7 kilometers. 

What are the things one must carry before coming for Kedarnath Trek?

The things which must be carried before coming for Kedarnath include:

  • Proper clothing
  • Blanket/Bedsheet during Travel
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen, lip balm, and a hat
  • Backpack
  • Bottle of water
  • Personal medication (if any)
  • Torch
  • Powerbank
  • Extra towel and wet wipes

Is Kedarnath Trek difficult?

The Kedarnath trek is classified as a trek of moderate difficulty. You start from an altitude of 6000 ft at Gaurikund and you reach the highest point of the trek at 11,657 ft. This means you gain around 5,657 ft over just one day of trekking. This makes the trek quite challenging.

Although, participants have an option to choose Khachhar or Helicopter, which will be chargeable.

Cancellation would be granted by the Higher Authorities on receiving cancellation requests through email. The cancellation Amount will be counted on total camp fees only.

  • Within 10-20 days before Departure, 50% refund
